Sound*Bytes - more than the 57 second spot

For over 16 years I've written, produced and voiced 5 57 second spots for CBS News radio every week that have focused on technology and how we use it, people and how we interact with technology, the fun stuff - great software, the bad stuff - identity theft etc. If it interests me, it makes it on the air - if it doesn't -- well, there are always other shows. I have the luxury of some 260 spots a year to talk about anything -- as long as it has to do with the web, or technology, or both.

But 57 seconds isn't a whole lot of time - so now there's Sound*Bytes - the blog. The place where I can talk about the other stuff, digital and analog, low and high tech that drive us mad with their coolness, and frustrate the hell out of us with their obtuseness. I can also talk about the people behind the tech stuff, the companies, the "visionaries" (how I HATE that word - makes them sound as though they're all wearing rose tinted eye glasses), the dreamers, the winners - and yes, the failed and the losers.

So welcome to Sound*Bytes - the blog. It goes hand in hand with Sound*Bytes - the show. Join me, and late at night we'll talk tech together.
